Global Crisis

Our generation is facing a life-threatning challenge: Global Warming. For years, human pollution has altered the climate of earth. It took nearly a century of research and data to convince the scientific community that humans were the cause of this climate change. Despite this, large corporation creating a majority of this waste are neglecting their responsibility. It is up to us to take action or our future on this planet will be at stake. Now, the question is: What can you do about it?

What is Global Warming?

Nasa defines global warming to be the long-term heating of Earth's climate system. It has been observed since the pre-industrial period (between 1850 and 1900). Due to human activities, primarily fossil fuel burning, there have been increases in heat-trapping greenhouse gas levels in Earth's atmosphere.

How does it work?

Global warming works via the Green house effect (pictured below). The green house effect is the phenomena caused by the atmospheric accumulation of heat-trapping gases, such as carbon dioxide and methane. The atmosphere allows most of the visible light from the Sun to pass through and reach Earth's surface, but on its way out, it is trapped resulting in higher temperatures on earth.
